About Josh

Operations are where strategy meets reality

Currently: COO, Infinity Software Solutions

I work on the systems and processes that determine whether a business can actually execute: quoting, coverage, follow-up, communication, billing, websites, reporting, and the handoffs between them. The work is messy because those pieces rarely line up cleanly inside one system.

My background is in building and operating freight technology. At Infinity Software Solutions, I’ve helped build BrokerPro TMS and BrokerOS, systems used by independent freight brokerages to run their operations and grow online. That work usually starts with the actual workflow, then shapes the software, automation, and measurement layer around the way the business really moves.

The writing here is an extension of that work: thinking through the problems that keep showing up, the tools worth understanding, and the patterns that hold up at scale. Freight brokerage makes the tension obvious, but the same pattern shows up anywhere systems, execution, and growth drift apart.

Focus Areas

The writing here follows the places where operations, technology, and growth tend to get tangled, with freight brokerage as the proving ground.

Freight Brokerage Operations
The workflows, handoffs, and operating habits that reveal where brokerages break down and where larger systems problems start to show.
Systems and Process Design
Turning repeated decisions into durable systems instead of relying on memory, heroics, or cleanup work.
Automation and AI
Using automation where it removes avoidable work, improves follow-through, or gives teams better context.
Website Strategy
Treating websites as discoverability, trust, and operational infrastructure, not just brochures or a separate marketing layer.
KPIs and Measurement
Making the right signals visible so leaders can improve the work, not just report on it after the fact.
Growth Connected to Execution
Connecting sales, service, follow-up, and operations so growth plans have a path into daily behavior instead of living in separate dashboards.
